The Works: Jonatha Brooke Celebrates Woody Guthrie at 100

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Jonatha Brooke was invited by Woody Guthrie's daughter Nora to write new songs with previously unused Woody Guthrie lyrics. The result was a new album, The Works. For this performance, Brooke will be joined by special guests, including Dar Williams and Eric Bazilian, to perform these new songs along with selections from Guthrie’s distinctive and distinctly American material. This event launches the Woody Guthrie Foundation’s yearlong celebration of the great songster’s centennial.
